Here is India Wren,
a Bohemian girl,
a Jammy Gypsy.
Finally she is finished, I hope you have enjoyed watching her come to life.
You all know those children
the ones who like to jam on as many of their clothes as they can
and somehow end up looking so cute.
That's India Wren.
Here are her details:
She is 21" tall and of course made from all natural materials, cotton knit skin fabric, Tasmanian wool stuffing, hand embroidered face. Her hair is made from Suri Alpaca wefts that I wefted and then crocheted into a wig.
Now for her clothes...
India has a tea dyed linen smock dress edged with tea dyed cotton lace. It is secured at the back with buttons. She has purple pull on linen trousers and long cotton knit socks that can be worn pulled up like stockings or scrunched down for socks.
She also has a pink cotton velveteen coat lined with a Japanese voile printed with dandelion puffs and the coat is edged with a gingham bias.
Her shoes are purple mini corduroy, one lined with a red cotton print, the other lined with a green cotton print, the soles are suede leather.
She also has a scarf knitted from a gorgeous hand spun, hand dyed yarn of a wool/ tussah silk blend.
Lastly she has a red woollen teddy bear hat and a maroon woollen pixie hat because you can never have too many hats.
I believe she is ready for anything.
India Wren would best suit a child aged 10 years and over or an adult collector.
Her hair can be gently styled but is very delicate.
India Wren is being auctioned tomorrow at 1pm AEDT.
