a new Annie

24 Oct 2013

This is another Annie, but a very different Annie and she will be available by auction tomorrow
as part of the For the Love of Dolls Australian dollmakers Showcase.
Don't you think she is lovely?

Here are the details
Annie is a 16" Jammy Kiss style doll made from all natural materials; cotton knit skin fabric,
Tasmanian wool stuffing, hand embroidered face. Her hair is hand dyed brushed mohair.

Annie is my tribute to Raggedy Anne who first appeared in the stories by Johnny Gruelle in  1918.
My Jammy Kiss dolls are made in rag doll style with floppy but very well stuffed arms and legs.
This style of doll is very poseable and lots of fun.

Annie is wearing a blue and white polka dot dress with a wooden button brooch.
She has white cotton voile bloomers trimmed with frills, pin tucks and ric rac
and hand knit boots and stripey socks.
She also has crocheted hair ties.

Annie was so much fun to make and is definitely looking for a fun family to live with.

Annie and her clothes are fully hand washable
This doll is NOT recommended for children aged three years or younger.
