The beautiful Tamar River

6 Jun 2007

Today was the most perfect early winter's day: bright, clear sunshine, no wind , cold enough early on to give a brass monkey a few problems but comfortably warm at lunch time.

We took ourselves off for a walk into town to check out the restaurant where Louis is celebrating his 18th birthday.

We met up with Stephen at his work ( that's him just leaving the photo on the right) and walked through the park to the river and on to the Old Seaport ...

Where we scoffed down some fish and chips on the terrace of the chip shop...

and enjoyed the sunshine and surprisingly well behaved seagulls. The gulls didn't even bother to ask for food because there was a sign that said we shouldn't feed them.
