just for you

2 May 2007

I making something special to celebrate my 1st blog anniversary. As the tradition dictates the presents are for you, my most welcome readers. My anniversary is today and I am also about to also celebrate my 200th post so I have a second little something to give away in honour of the double celebration.

I found this gingham apron and supper cloth during my weekly op shop sortie. They have been hand embroidered by the same person I think and I doubt they have ever been used.

So there you go; all you have to do is leave a comment to go in the double draw which will take place on the 5th May.

I have really enjoyed my year of blogging. I thought I would run out of things to say long ago but I'm still here. Honestly it's great to be a part of this crafty bloggy world . I love being able to set my own agenda and I'm constantly gratified to find that people are willing to leave comments. I love reading your contributions to my blog. I love the way ideas fire off around the blogosphere and everyone feels free to give their interpretation of a project. I love that people try to be so positive in their comments and I love the fact that I feel I have made friends through my blog.

So, please, even if you have never commented before or never visited before feel free to enter the draw.

And just remember, when life gives you a basketful of broken eggs, all over the floor, do what I do...

run away, run away.

  18. The dog helped to clean up the eggs, some were only cracked so I saved them and we had scrambled eggs for breakfast and the rest of the icky mess had to be scooped up with my trusty knitted dishcloth. Yucko.

  20. Happy anniversary - here's to many more posts in the future. I love reading your blog, especially in our winter months when you are talking about the warm sunny weather, and your lovely garden, and we are freezing cold or, as is more often the case in England, soaking wet. Your dolls are so lovely - miniature works of art.

  22. Jenny, "Happy Anniversary" on your blog and 200th post. I read your blog daily, always enjoying what you share. Your are an inspiration to me! Your eggs brought back a recent memory. I had sent my son to the chicken house to gather the eggs. He decide to take his tricycle and when he returned with the bucket, he fell off the tricyle. We had 20+ broken eggs all over thre back porch. Our farm cats enjoyed the feast. Gail
